They are employed at-will and operate as professionals within the guidelines established by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Executive Director Search
Parnassus Preparatory School is partnering with DSG Storbeck to recruit our school’s next Executive Director.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead the strategic priorities of the school, strengthen the academic and program outcomes for all students, serve as a visible presence in the community, steward the school’s finances and resources, and be a champion of classical education. The Executive Director will lead a talented, dedicated team who is deeply committed to the values and vision of Parnassus Preparatory School.
This is an ideal role for a visionary and inspirational leader, who embodies warmth while maintaining adherence to the mission and model, and who has demonstrated outcomes in a similarly mission-aligned educational organization, non-profit, or school. While no one candidate will have every experience outlined in the position description, the personal qualities, skills and characteristics for ideal candidates will include a minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in education, preferably in a charter or classical school setting; conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts and classical education with demonstrated intellectual curiosity coupled with humility; exceptional written and oral communication and relationship-building skills; and the ability to steward and inspire a diverse school community through a unifying leadership presence.
