In compliance with federal requirements as part of the American Rescue Plan, Parnassus has outlined a Safe Return to In-Person Learning Plan. This plan will be reviewed at the beginning of each academic quarter through September of 2023. The public is invited to provide comment on this plan using the feedback form here.

***Update to Face Covering Policy for All Schools**

Amid the changing conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, our primary concern is always the health and safety of our staff and students. The school’s Covid-19 advisory team meets regularly to closely monitors positive cases among our student body, along with state and county data and guidance provided by the Minnesota Departments of Health and Education, to measure our mitigation strategies amidst the current conditions.

Beginning January 31st, the school began to use specific benchmarks related to the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the student body over a two-week period to determine if face coverings for students will be recommended or required.

    • Face coverings for students will be highly recommended beginning January 31st, unless positive cases reach a specific level within each school.
    • If the specific benchmark is met (roughly 5% of students testing positive for COVID-19), masks will temporarily be required for two weeks, beginning the school day after the announcement is made to students and families.
    • If masks are required for any school level, masks will be required for all staff members.
